INDIAN LAKE WATER LEVEL – 2025
Below is a graph from the Hudson River Black River Regulating District that shows the actual Indian Lake water levels as of mid August, 2025 (purple line), as well as the Historic Average (black line), target elevations (red dashed line), and the elevation agreed on between the Indian Lake Association and HRBRRD for the lake (green dashed line). The combination of the large drainage area and the relatively small outlets on the dam mean that a large rain event or rapid snow melt can make the lake rise significantly even with the gates fully open.

The Graph below shows the actual water levels for the one year period ending on August 8, 2025 – updated information is available at https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/USGS-01314500/#dataTypeId=continuous-62614-0&period=P7D&showMedian=true
